The Crayon Initiative believes that to grow and learn, children need to have the freedom to be creative and express themselves through art. With crayons in hand, stories can unfold, dreams can take shape, and imaginations can run wild.
The Crayon Initiative organizes crayon collections that take unwanted crayons, remanufactures them, and provides them to hospitals that are caring for our kids. Art helps hospitalized children by alleviating anxiety, providing psychological support, and offering creative outlets for self-expression. Children’s arts programs also enhance problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and promote creativity and imagination.
To Scargo Hill Capital CEO Andy Moser, the Crayon Initiative brings back fond and vivid memories of his own childhood, evoking a desire to support developing the imaginations of the future. The Crayon Initiative supports imaginative, critical thinking programs that drive the ability to see beyond what lies directly in front of us – a tool that can be used beyond childhood.
